I live in Spokane, WA, and it's pretty cloudy here most days. I decided to get an indoor hobby (sewing), since the weather is so cold here. I make dresses & skirts for my 2-yr old girl. She loves girly dresses & outfits! She's so cute! I really am quite addicted to sewing now, I'm a fabric-aholic as well, my husband thinks I'm crazy. If you need me, you can find me in my sewing room.

Penny by ModKid
I have the Penny and the Penelope patterns made up in a lightweight cotton knit fabric. I think I'll make them again in a more stable knit that won't be so flimsy. I used a cheap one to start with because I'm not really used to sewing with knits--so these are my 'muslins,' which turned out pretty nicely, but the fabric makes it look more like a pajama dress-which is what it can be :).

Simplicity 2171
This was Allison's Easter outfit for 2010. She looks adorable! I made the handbag to go with it, but she doesn't want a bag yet--give her a year!

Modkid Nina Pattern--So cute!
I think this is one my favorite outfits to date! Not only was the pattern, by Patty Young, one of the easiest to make, but the fabric (frolic by Wendy Slotboom for In The Beginning fabrics) is extremely cute, it really brings the outfit to life! Allison is showing it off playing her makeshift drums and playing around the house.

AnnaMaria Horner Study Hall Skirt
This is probably the funnest and cutest thing I've made for myself. I love the fabric, Joel Dewberry Aviary.

Butterick 5019
This dress is for my cousin Natalie's daughter :)--I've added a pair of shorts with a flower on the leg because the dress seemed a bit short. :)

Simplicity 2466
This is a Daisy Kingdom Pattern that is so dang cute on the pattern envelope. I've sewn it with a "Wee Woodlands" cotton fabric by Keiki for Moda. After sewing this, and then reading others reviews online, I think the neckline is going to be gaping on Allison. UPDATE: so, I've tried this on her, and it was so gaping that it fell right to the floor! So, I took the whole neckline apart, shortened the elastic on each shoulder strap/sleeve, and added elastic to the front bodice top. Now, after taking 7-8 inches off of the neckline, it is perfect, and fits great! It was a lot of work, but worth it! The first picture shows the newest version, and the second picture shows the gaping neckline.
